A Closer Look: The Camel Overcoat

This fall marks the introduction of formalwear at Outclass - a category that will be expanded upon in the upcoming seasons. This camel overcoat is the perfect segue into this new sector, because it sports the silhouette of a formal coat, but is constructed with heavyweight materials to withstand cold Canadian winters.

The Outclass overcoat is made with a thick melton wool body, and is lined with a soft, flannel fabric that features a distinctive multicolour, herringbone check pattern. Canadian-made kasha fabric was chosen for the sleeve lining because its smooth, satin side allows for ease of movement of the arms, while the soft flannel underside provides added warmth. Other subtle design details include: brown herringbone wool under the collar and side pocket flaps, single welt breast pocket and brown corozo nut buttons.

The camel overcoat is a truly diverse item because it transcends many generations and styles. The juxtaposition of the formal silhouette and the rugged materials make for a practical and stylish outerwear option for many fall and winter seasons to come.
